Louis Besland appointed Partner and Vice President, A.T. Kearney Middle East

Dubai (25 April 2010) —  Louis Besland, a recognized international thought leader in strategy development in the energy and chemicals sector, has been appointed Partner and Vice President of A. T. Kearney Middle East based operations and will lead the regional energy practice of the Middle East operations.

Louis Besland has helped major global oil and gas companies to design new organizations, define diversification strategies, reach operational excellence and improve supply chain and purchasing practices. Having partnered with a number of international industrial groups in the field of chemicals, steel, aluminum and glass to; define strategic plans and implement development projects, he is well suited to guide manufacturers on strategies of operational excellence and sustainability. As a thought leader in the field he has contributed significantly to research including annual research about the key connectivity issues between the leading chemical players and their customers.

Such thought leadership and experience in both the private and public sectors, has earned him the appointment of advisor to several governments. He has supported these governments to develop their long term actionable plans related to sustainable energy and chemical strategies spanning - a broad scope of work across all energy sources; whether nuclear, oil & gas or renewable energy sources.
